Beach holidays in Cavallino-Treporti

Cavallino-Treporti can be found between Jesolo and Venice in north-eastern Italy and is a popular resort for holidaymakers looking to escape urban life over the summer.

The area’s main claim to fame is its spectacular 15 km sand beach, which runs from Cavallino Lighthouse to Punta Sabbioni and offers easy access to the warm waters of the Adriatic Sea and has a Blue Flag award. The beach is backed by a pine forest containing various trees and plants typical of the coast.

Cavallino-Treporti is also known for its tegnue, natural reefs that have slowly formed over the last 4,000 years and contain many types of marine life, including the hermit crab sponge and starfish that can grow to lengths of 30 cm.

Other attractions include shopping at the local markets and excursions to nearby locations, including Venice.
